We invited Duke students, surrounding students, faculty, and alumni to join us for a night of music, dancing, hors d'oeuvres, and good company as we honor a charity that epitomizes our emphasis on service and celebrate the end of another academic year.

The year’s beneficiary was Instepp, Inc., whose mission is “to create a vibrant community by empowering at-risk women and adolescent girls to rise above the odds and succeed personally and professionally, through innovative gender-responsive training, education and prevention services.” Its core programs include New Choices (An Economic, Self-Sufficiency Program for Women), Nueva Vida ("New Life") for Hispanic-Latina Women, Employment Reentry Assistance (ERA) Program for Justice-Involved Women, InStepp Adult Mentoring Program, and Girls Leadership Academy (GLA) Program. We are thrilled to be able to honor an organization whose incredible contributions empower women and girls.
